Israel bars tourists if Covid-19 vaccinations are over 180 days old

TOURISTS hoping to visit Israel will be refused entry if it is more than 180 days since they had their last Covid-19 vaccination — even if they have had the booster.

Mancunian Liz Harris wrote on Facebook: “I had my last booster in November and [husband] Andrew in October and we planned and paid for a holiday in Israel in May, and we now can’t go for the fourth time.

“As a citizen, I may be able to go myself but bit boring having my holiday without my husband, especially as we were going for a month. Really upset about this.”

Sharon Bershadsky, director of the Israel Government Tourist Office in London, told the Jewish Telegraph: “For now, it seems the 180 day rule is true.
