CLAIRE Lieberman and Stuart Lesser were married at the Midland Hotel, Manchester, seven years after meeting at the Liverpool Jewish Students’ Society. Claire and Stuart were studying in the city when cupid struck.

And they continued the Liverpool connection at the wedding, as Rabbi MordecHai Wollenberg, former minister at Childwall Hebrew Congregation, officiated.

Teacher Claire is the daughter of Marcia and Jay Lieberman, of Prestwich, Manchester, while Stuart, a policeman, is the son of Clare and David Lesser, of north London.

Best men were the groom’s brother Howard and friend Alon Nachshen. Bridesmaid was the bride’s cousin Mia Michalska. Pageboys were the groom’s nephews Jamie and Toby Lesser, and Isaac Bataller.

Joining in the celebrations were guests from Israel and America.

The couple, who will honeymoon in the summer, have settled in north London.
