Martin celebrates his Diamond wedding

MARTIN CHEPNER and Laura Diamond knew each other when they were pupils at King David High School. But they did not fall in love until three-and-a-half years ago.

And they were married at Sefton Park Palm House, Liverpool, by Manchester Reform Synagogue's Rabbi Reuven Silverman.

Martin, a clothing company director, is the son of Susan and Mike Chepner, of Whitefield, while primary school teacher Laura is the daughter of Bernice and Gerry Diamond, of Whitefield.

Best man was Rene Moss. Bridesmaids were Paula MeggitT, Gemma Wilson, Shanel Williams, Danielle Porter, Hayley Chepner and Carla Clynes.

Pageboys were the groom's nephew Saul Chepner and the bride's nephew Louis Diamond.

Guests from Canada also joined in the celebrations. The bride's grandmother WYN ROSENBERG also attended.

After a honeymoon in the Galapagos Islands, the couple have settled in Ramsbottom.


Married in sunshine

FAMILY and friends of Lauren Singer and Michael Mantel headed for the sunshine when the couple married in Vale do Lobo, Portugal.

The pair, who met at a housewarming party two years ago, were married by Rabbi Eliezer Shai di Martino.

Lauren, who works in the jewellery business, is the daughter of Gerry and David Singer, of Whitefield, while Michael, who owns a computer business, is the son of Elaine and Martin Mantel, also of Whitefield.

Best man was the groom's brother Jonny Mantel. Maid of honour was the bride's sister Francesca Singer. Bridesmaids were the groom's niece Evie Mantel, Gabi Samberg and Lydia Wilson. Pageboys were Samuel and Aaron Berlyne.

The bride's grandmothers Paula Singer and Zena Berlyne and the groom's grandmother Renee Jacobs joined in the celebrations.

After a honeymoon in Canada and America, the couple have settled in Radcliffe.
