SUZANNE Fine Morgan of Florida want to find records of her great grandfather, Zelik Kletzky.

Suzanne believes he may have taken her grandfather Barnett (Benjamin/Bernard) Kletzky to France as a child.

Barnett later came to London. But she cannot find any English records on siblings, marriages, births in London, census details or when they sailed to America.

Barnett married Dora Bessie Penchesnek around 1887. Daughter Mary was born 1890 in England.

Suzanne has found nothing on Dora Bessie (Betsy) or Mary.

Dora may have had a brother Lewis.

Dora moved to America in 1892 with Mary. Further children were born in Pennsylvania and New York.

She died in child birth 1906 with Suzanne's mother. Mary died aged 13 in America.

GLENDA Goldberg of Australia is researching her family history and would like to find out more about her great grandfather Nathan Levy and his Manchester family.

Nathan was born in Russia (probably Lithuania) in 1845, arrived in England around 1870 and worked as a cabinetmaker in Sunderland between 1872 and 1897.

He moved to Manchester around 1900 following the death of his first wife, Perla, and emigration of their children Lyonel and Rachel to Australia.

Nathan remarried around 1900 and lived with his second wife in Manchester for the rest of his life.

They had six children one of whom was Emmanuel Levy who eventually settled in California.

''I fondly remember 'Uncle Manny'who visited our family in Australia in the late 1960s when he was probably in his 50s or 60s,'' Glenda said. ''It's so difficult researching an ancestor with such a common name!''
