Grandma Rosi's diaries made a lasting impression on talented Jess

WHEN Jess Robinson was 23, her diary was filled with calorie counts, emotional blow-ups about her mum, and despair over a faltering acting career and a broken heart.

But when her grandmother Rosi Ruben (nee Schul) was 23, she was being expelled from Nazi Germany, deported by the Gestapo and interned as a Jewish refugee in Poland.
