The 45 Aid Society website had claimed that Rosie’s mother Ruth had brought young Holocaust survivors to England — which would have been
pretty amazing seeing she wasn’t born until 1951.
But her family’s Holocaust story was tragic with a semi-happy ending.
Her grandmother, Elisabeth Hertzberger — whose first name she has as her middle name — and her great-grandmother, Rosetta, had some close calls as they hid from the Nazis in the Netherlands.
