DEREK Shulman is known as the rock star who became a music executive and discovered, among others, Bon Jovi.
But in his newly-published autobiography Giant Steps (Jaw Bone, £16.95), the story of how he met his wife Sharon shows a totally un-rock ‘n’ roll side to him.
In a business full of infidelity, drink and drugs, Glasgow-born Derek says he has never been drunk and only took drugs once, when his drink was spiked with acid.
And it was his sobriety which started him on the journey to meeting Sharon.
