Fast forward 24 hours and his tweet had been liked more than 90,000 times, going viral over social media.

Now, less than a month on, the 60-year-old has been inundated with messages and opportunities from across the world.

“I had no idea [it would go viral] because I put out lots of tweets about things I am building as there is a spirit of sharing things in the tech community,” Danny explained to me.

“I fully expected to get a similar reaction to all my other tweets so maybe seven likes, but it is not something I really worry about anyway.

“At first, it did have a similar reaction and then... all hell broke loose!

“My Twitter became completely unusable and I had to turn notifications off because it was indescribable — just bedlam.”

Some of the thousands of direct messages, emails and quote tweets he received were from fellow ‘techies’, while there were also many with autism or speech and language difficulties who contacted him.
