Synagogue seat allocation

I would love to know how synagogues plan to allocate seats for the forthcoming high holydays.

It has been hard enough for shuls to be fair to all over the past few weeks — and that has been merely on Shabbat — with many left disappointed that they could not attend.

If numbers are limited to just a few dozen, how are shuls going to make the tough decision about who is most worthy?

Will it be fairer for the larger congregations to close altogether to prevent any broigus?

I can’t see that there is any equitable solution that is going to satisfy everyone.
