LETTERS
Added distress

MY heart bleeds for the Fixsler family who are at odds with an NHS Trust about allowing their terminally ill daughter to spend her remaining days at home.

It appears she has so little time left. I agree with your editorial comment last week that the cost of providing end-of-life care at home would surely be no more — or possibly less — than if little Alta were to be moved to a hospice or similar institution.

The parents are going through enough without the further pressure of not being in control of their daughter’s fate adding to their distress.

Jacob Levy,

Golders Green,
London.
